Furthermore, fit GmbH would like to show which rights you are entitled to in this context. This data protection declaration applies exclusively to the websites www.fit.de; www.gard.de and www.fenjal.com, including any subpages (such as www.fit.de/[xy]) and subdomains (such as[xy].fit.de).

1.     Responsibility for the processing of your personal data

fit GmbH is responsible for compliance with the provisions of the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) as the responsible body, in accordance with the BDSG and the EU General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR").

2.     What is personal data?

Personal data refers to individual details concerning the personal or factual circumstances of a specific or identifiable natural person. This includes information such as your real name, your address, your telephone number and your date of birth (if stated). Statistical information that cannot be directly or indirectly associated with you - such as the popularity of individual websites on our site or the number of users of a site - is not personal data.

3.     General information on the processing and use of personal data within the scope of fit.de

When you visit our websites, the web servers save the connection data of the requesting computer, the websites you visit on our site, the date and duration of the visit, the identification data of the browser and operating system type used, as well as the website from which you are visiting us by default and temporarily for system security purposes.

This data set consists of:

  • the site from which the file was requested
  • the name of the file
  • the date and time of the request
  • the volume of data transferred
  • the access status (file transferred, file not found)
  • the description of the type of web browser used
  • the IP address of the requesting computer, shortened by the last three digits.

This data is stored anonymously in accordance with the German Telemedia Act (TMG). The creation of personal user profiles is thereby excluded. This data is deleted or made anonymous after the end of the connection.

4.     Website analysis/tracking:

Cookies: We use so-called cookies in some areas of our website, e.g., to recognize the preferences of visitors and to be able to design the website accordingly. This facilitates navigation and a high degree of user-friendliness within a website. Cookies also help us to identify particularly popular areas of our website. Cookies are small files that are stored on a visitor's hard drive. They allow information to be stored for a certain period of time and to identify the visitor's computer. For better user guidance and customized service presentation, we use permanent cookies. We also use so-called session cookies, which are automatically deleted when you close your browser. You can set your browser so that it informs you about the placement of cookies. This makes the use of cookies transparent for you. Important: If you completely exclude the use of cookies, you may not be able to use certain functions of our website.

Google Analytics: This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service from Google Inc. "("Google"). Google Analytics uses "cookies", which are text files stored on your computer, to enable the analysis of website use. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) is transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activities for website operators, and providing other services relating to website and internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties if this is required by law or if third parties process this data on behalf of Google. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. You may prevent the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser. However, please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. By using this website, you provide your consent to the processing of data about you by Google in the manner and for the purposes set out above.

If you agree to Google linking your web and app browsing history to your Google account and using information from your Google account to personalise ads, Google will use your information with Google Analytics data to create target group lists for cross-device remarketing. For this purpose, Google Analytics first collects your Google authenticated ID on our website, which is linked to your Google account (i.e., personal data). Google Analytics will then temporarily link your ID to your Google Analytics data in order to optimise our target groups.

If you do not agree to this, you can turn it off using the appropriate settings in the "My Account" area of your Google account.

Google Dynamic Remarketing:

This website uses the remarketing function of Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; "Google"). The purpose of this feature is to present interest-based ads to website visitors within the Google advertising network. The technology enables us to place automatically generated, target-group-oriented ads after your visit to our website. The ads are based on the products and services you clicked on the last time you visited our website. For this purpose, a so-called "cookie" is stored in the visitor's browser, which makes it possible to recognize the visitor when he or she accesses these websites belonging to Google's advertising network. Cookies are small text files that are stored in your browser when you visit our website. Google usually saves information such as your web request, IP address, browser type, browser language, date and time of your request. This information is used to map the web browser to a specific computer. On the websites of the Google advertising network, visitors may then be presented with ads relating to content previously accessed by the visitor on websites that use Google's remarketing function.

If you have agreed to link your browser history by Google to your Google account and to use information from your Google account for ad personalization under www.google.com/settings/u/0/ads/authenticated, the remarketing feature will also be cross-device. Google will collect your Google ID and use it for the purpose of cross-device recognition.

According to its own statements, Google does not collect any personal data during this process. However, if you do not wish to avail of Google's remarketing feature, you can disable it by clicking here on OPT-OUT.

You may also prevent the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser. However, please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website.

For more information about how Google uses cookies, please read Google's privacy policy.

Google Google Adservices / Google AdWords Conversion: This website uses tools for "online marketing" from Google Inc. 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. This enables the recognition that a visitor has come across our website via a Google ad. Google uses cookies which are stored on your computer and enable an analysis of website use. The cookies for the so-called "conversion tracking" are set when you click on an ad placed by Google. These cookies expire after 30 days and are not used for personal identification. If you wish to prevent "conversion tracking", you can set your browser to block cookies from the "googleadservices.com" domain. You can also exercise your right to opt out.

If you would like to learn more about these methods or to know what options you have to prevent this information being used by Google, click here:

10.  Social media

On our website, you will find links to the social media services of Facebook, Twitter, Google+, YouTube, Pinterest and Instagram. Links to the websites of social media services can be identified by the respective company logo. If you follow these links, you will reach the corporate website of fit GmbH at the respective social media service. By clicking on a link to a social media service, a connection to the servers of the social media service is established. This informs the servers of the social media service that you have visited our website. In addition, further data is transferred to the provider of the social media service. These include, for example:

  • Address of the website on which the activated link is located
  • Date and time of accessing the website or activating the link
  • Information about the browser and operating system used
  • IP address

If you are already logged in to the relevant social media service at the time the link is activated, the provider of the social media service may be able to determine your user name and, if applicable, even your real name from the transmitted data and assign this information to your personal user account on the social media service. You can exclude this possibility of assignment to your personal user account by logging out of your user account beforehand.

The servers of the social media services are located in the USA and other countries outside the European Union. The data can therefore also be processed by the provider of the social media service in countries outside the European Union. Please note that companies in these countries are subject to a data protection law that does not generally protect personal data to the same extent as is the case in the Member States of the European Union.

Please note that we have no influence on the scope, type and purpose of data processing by the provider of the social media service. For more information on the use of your data by the social media services included on our website, please refer to the privacy policy of the respective social media service.

11.  Data security

We take technical and organisational security measures to protect your data from unwanted access as comprehensively as possible. In addition to securing the operating environment, we use, e.g., an encryption method in some areas (application, customer account, contact form). The information you provide is then transmitted in encrypted form using the SSL protocol (Secure Socket Layer) to prevent misuse of the data by third parties. You can recognize this by the fact that the lock symbol in the status bar of your browser is closed and the address line begins with "https".

The data sent to us by you will be stored only for the stated purposes in accordance with the provisions of data protection and will under no circumstances be passed on or even sold to third parties without your consent.

12.  Information, correction and deletion of your data

Upon request, fit GmbH will provide you with information about which of your data fit GmbH stores and how it is used. If your data stored at fit GmbH is incorrect, fit GmbH will correct it. In this regard, you can contact fit GmbH at the address given in item 13 or in any other way. In addition, you can view the data which fit GmbH has saved about you in your account via the Internet, and you can correct it, if necessary. You have the right to block and delete the data stored by fit GmbH about you. If the deletion contradicts legal, contractual or fiscal or commercial storage obligations or any other legally anchored reasons, only blocking of your data can be carried out instead of deletion.
